Course Description:
The Postgraduate Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management Level 7 offered by the Confideration of Tourism and Hospitality (CTH) raises the standards of management knowledge and practice through the study and understanding of interrelationship between the hospitality abd tourism sectors, explore the strategic issues in business development, rather than operational level .
This course is assignment basis. Assessment involves investigative assignments, presentations and action research activities. The assessment of candidates' work is centre based, against the specified learning outcomes and directed by CTH.

Module 1: Hospitality and Tourism Marketing Strategies
Module 2: Management and Leadership Across Cultures
Module 3: Hospitality and Tourism Strategic Planning
Plus ONE of the following options:
Module 4: Managing Hospitality and Tourism Projects
Module 5: Research Methods for Hospitality and Tourism Managers
Progresion:
Students who have successfully completed the Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma awarded by CTH are eligible to gain entry to MA/MSc/MBA degrees with advanced entry at the BPP University; Edge Hill University; University of Sunderland; London South Bank University; University of West London; Anglia Ruskin University.
Entry Requirements
On entry a student will have:
- An honours degree from a UK university (minimum 2:2) in any subject, or equivalent award from a non-UK university,
- Preferably with two years' work experience at managerial level with significant responsibility for resources (staff, financial, physical etc, or a combination of these). Prospective students must be able to demonstrate that these responsibilities were significant and that they had a high level of autonomy. Overseas students need to have approved English language qualification of B2 Level.
