Course Overview
This programme is designed for the wide range of public health practitioners, health visitors, nurse, midwives, dieticians, nutritionists and community pharmacists. The pragramme covers a range of contemporary issues in the public health sector and develops the critical, analytical and technical skills needed by senior management.

These two Postgraduate Diplomas are offered as standard 5 modules and extended 8 module qualifications with the following structure:

- Personal and team effectiveness in health and social care

University Exemption and Progression Routes
The qualification is designed to allow entry to and/or enhance progression in a wide range of management roles in the public, private or charitable sectors.
Students who have successfully completed ABP PgD H & Social Care will be eligible for exemption credits towards MBA's or Master Degrees at UK Universities.
Existing UK University Progression Route
Holders of the ABP Extended Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership and Management in the Health and Social Care Sector with two years' minimum management experience, preferably in the Health and Social Care sector, will be considered for admission with 120 credits on to the MBA in Executive Leadership and Management at the University of Worcester (click here for full details)
Entry Requirements
On entry a student will have:
- An honours degree from a UK university (minimum 2:2) in any subject, or equivalent award from a non-UK university,
- Preferably with two years' work experience at managerial level with significant responsibility for resources (staff, financial, physical etc, or a combination of these). Prospective students must be able to demonstrate that these responsibilities were significant and that they had a high level of autonomy.
